Dr. Nathan Schmiedicke Professor of Sacred Scripture at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska will give the next Authenticum lecture. The title of his lecture is: “On Cursing God: How Satan Thinks (wrongly) about God and the Surprise Secret Ending to the Book of Job”

His lecture will focus on how the character of Satan as revealed in the book of Job shows that Job’s sufferings are more than a mere test. They are ultimately a revelation of God’s own decision to suffer the greatest of all curses in a top-secret plan to save the world from the same fate as Satan.

The November 8th Lecture is scheduled to be in the Parish Gym. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with Wine & Cheese Social. Lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. This is a lecture you won’t want to miss out on. All adults of every age are invited. Invite friends and family! We hope to see you tomorrow night!

This Advent season, the Church intentionally prepares for the wonder of the Nativity, the God of the Universe becoming not just incarnate, but an infant born of a woman. Here at Sacred Heart Academy, our special teachers form our students to meet God on the mountaintops and in the manger, and inspire these young Catholics with the striking beauty and awe of our Faith. Support our teachers who foster moments like these everyday, moments that stick with students for a lifetime, by partnering with the SHA Annual Fund for Giving Tuesday!
