Accipe signaculum doni Spiritus Sancti

“Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit”

The third of the Rites of Christian Initiation is Confirmation. The sacrament of confirmation strengthens and seals the baptismal promises through anointing with sacred chrism oil. Conferred by the bishop when possible, this consecrating oil further binds Christians to the mission of Jesus and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Children in our parish usually begin preparing for this important sacrament around the age of 14 and adults who wish to be confirmed prepare as a part of the RCIA class.
