
Michael Tober
Michael Tober is the Director of Religious Education for Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Married with five children, Mr. Tober and his family have been parishioners of Sacred Heart since 2006. Mr. Tober holds a degree in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, as well as a Master Certification in Catechetics in the Diocese of Grand Rapids. He has been teaching, and working in pastoral ministry, mostly in the Grand Rapids diocese, for over 20 years. Previously, Mr. Tober spent a year with NET Ministries in 1999-2000, and served the Church in various ways including work as a parish youth ministry volunteer, the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s Parish in Spring Lake, and the K-12 Director of Campus Ministry at Muskegon Catholic Central in Muskegon, MI. In 2024, he co-founded a Lay Apostolate named Josephs Builders which serves people on fixed low income with critical home improvements. Mr. Tober is a passionate lover of all things Catholic, and spends much of his time studying the Word of God. He is also an avid outdoorsman, using whatever time he can to hike, camp, fish and hunt. Some of his favorite authors are St. Paul the Apostle, Benedict XVI, Saint Pope John Paul II, J.R.R.
