We look forward to seeing you Thursday, October 4 at Sacred Heart Parish in Grand Rapids. Dr. Jared Ortiz Executive Director of The Benedict Institute and Associate Professor of Religion at Hope College will give the lecture. The title of his lecture is: “Intellectual Disability & The Sabbath Structure of the Human Person”. Dr. Ortiz holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from the Catholic University of America. He specializes in early Christian theology, especially St. Augustine. He has scholarly interests in Liturgy, Latin patristic thought and disability. Dr. Ortiz most recent published work is “You Made Us for Yourself”: Creation in St. Augustine’s Confessions. The October Lecture is scheduled to be in the Parish Gym. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with Wine & Cheese Social. Lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. This is a lecture you won’t want to miss. All adults of every age are invited. Invite friends and family!
