Sacred Heart will provide the opportunity for individuals to come together in a group setting to learn more about the Catholic Christian Faith. Sessions are suitable for both those seeking to deepen their understanding of the Faith and those seeking to discern more fully entering into full communion with the Catholic Church through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Sessions begin Monday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Cebelak Hall.

As many have already heard, the academy advancement team is taking a new approach to fundraising and sustainability and it doesn’t include an auction! This year we are embarking upon a new venture –
an Academy Annual Fund. This is a replacement for the auction and is intended to raise the equivalent and more to help with immediate operational and financial aid expenses.

The public launch is scheduled for the first week of November and, not unlike the auction, we are seeking out Cornerstone donors who are willing to be early adopters and pledge for three years to help us through this process. To satisfy our need for community and our wish for cultivating the culture of our parish and academy, we will be hosting a party for our entire Sacred Heart community in October. Sacramental preparation begins on Monday, September 8 with our Parent Sacramental Prep Meeting at 6:30pm in Cebelak Hall. If both parents can be there, great! For Ss. Peter and Paul, we will be singing Mass VIII (recording here: http://shgr.org/massVIII).

During the summer, we will be singing Mass XI (recording here: http://shgr.org/massIX the Mass which is prescribed for Ordinary Sundays.

We are offering two sessions of CGS this coming school year. The sessions will meet on Thursdays (1:30- 3:00pm) or Fridays (9:00 – 10:30 am) beginning September 18/19, 2025 through May 7/8, 2026. The cost of the program for the year is $450 per child with a $25 registration fee per family.

Ladies, did you know that we have had a beautiful and powerful apostolate here at Sacred Heart for the past several years? If you desire to be in a ministry that is behind the scenes in the parish but sitting at the feet of our Blessed Lord one hour a week, interceding for our pastor, Fr. Ron, then this is for you. Commitment is for at least one year. This year our Friday intercessor has decided to step down so we are in need of someone to fill her spot. If you desire to be on a substitute list to fill in for an occasional need, that would be great too.

We place a bulk order which gives us a 45% discount on the newsstand price. Delivery is to the church and pick-up is every month from near the handicap entrance of the church. These are not delivered to your home. You will be notified each month when your Magnificat is ready for pick up. If you would like to renew or subscribe for the first time, please send a check made out
to Sacred Heart Church for $29.00 per subscription and mail to the church office or drop it in the offering basket at Mass by June 8. Make sure to write “Magnificat” on the memo line.
