Sr. Angela Marie

Sr Angela Marie is a junior professed sister of the Congregation of the Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. She entered the Congregation in January of 2012 and made her first profession of vows in August of 2015. Immediately after vows she was stationed at St Joseph Convent in Munster, Pennsylvania for two years where she helped organize retreats for women and girls and taught religion in local parishes. She also taught private violin, viola, and cello lessons at All Saints Catholic School in Cresson. For the Order she sewed habits and helped with baking\cooking for community events and retreats. Most recently she taught the Faith to children of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania along with classes for Confirmation students. She grew up in Somerset, Pennsylvania along with her 7 brothers and 4 sisters milking cows, gathering chicken eggs, hunting deer and bear, and playing chamber music (classical and sacred) with their family string ensemble. Watching carpentry regularly in her Father’s shop and learning sewing, baking/cooking from her Mother were fundamental lessons in the God given dignity of work and the art of serving God and others through the beauty of artistry. Sr Angela Marie is a violinist and played music professionally with her family and local community orchestras. She attended Catholic school briefly and was homeschooled for the remainder of her education. She has always loved children and has had a lot of experience through babysitting, tutoring and catechizing since very early on, which ultimately helped in discerning a religious vocation and to put this love of God’s little ones at His providential disposal within the context of religious life. She is now very happy to assist in teaching Kindergarten and 1st Grade at Sacred Heart Academy and spread the Glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
