Congrats to Mr. Christian Balanda who was hired to serve as our Director of Youth Ministry. He brings a lot of enthusiasm and experience in organizing events but will need volunteer help to support him in this apostolate!
Christian grew up in Ada Township, and graduated from Forest Hills Central High School in 2018. He has been a dedicated parishioner at Sacred Heart since 2021, and is an active member of parish apostolates such as the St. Margaret Mary Singers, Pillar Men’s Group, Authenticum Lecture Series, and SH Young Adults. In 2022, Christian worked as the Voter Outreach Coordinator and Social Media Manager for the John Gibbs for Congress Campaign where he developed proficiency in community event planning, volunteer team leadership, schedule management, and digital communications. Christian found a calling to Youth Ministry after serving as a chaperone on the 2023 High School Mission Trip to Mississippi where he built meaningful connections with the youth participants.
